Excited for the upcoming movie? Well you can travel to Tomorrowland right now instead!
Tomorrowland is the largest electronic music festival in the world, and it is held every year in Belgium. Originally, it used to be organized by ID&T, as a joint venture. It is quite funny that the festival even takes place in a town called Boom, located 32km north of Brussels. It began in 2005, and has continued on until this day.
The very first festival was on August 14th, 2005. Performers who showed up were Armin Van Buuren, Yves Deruyter, Technoboy, and Yoji Biomehanika. From then on, Tomorrowland has attracted more and more artists, and more and more people with hundreds of things to do. In 2009, Tomorrowland attracted a massive 90,000 people.
In 2011, Tomorrowland expanded so it could run for three consecutive days. It had over 180,000 visitors and performers like David Guetta, Swedish House Mafia, Carl Cox, and many others. That year and for its kind, it was voted the best festival in the world at the International Dance Music Awards.
The festival has been so successful that online sales of 80,000 people have sold out in less than an hour, with a 2 million person waiting list.
In 2013, it reached 200,000 attendees, and full madness passes sold out in 35 minutes, while the remainder of the tickets sold out in one second… reportedly.
Finally in 2014, more than 400,000 people have attended this incredible festival. In 2015, Tomorrowland will be held in Brazil as well from the 1st to the 3rd.
It will definitely be a blast!
